The Band

Just Like That_jun_17_2023_014.jpg

Amy Marie
Lead Vocals

Originally from Connecticut, Amy began playing the piano and singing at age 5 and participated in many various choral groups and classical ensembles growing up. During high school and her time at the University of New Haven where she studied classical voice and piano, she performed throughout the tri-state area as a soprano soloist and with many professional groups.  Amy cites vocal powerhouses such as Anne Wilson, Barbara Streisand and Whitney Houston as her greatest inspirations in finding her voice.  As front woman for Just Like That, Amy's unstoppable energy is sure to get you on your feet in no time! Her vocal prowess and talent earned her in 2016 the accolade of "Female Vocalist of the Year" from the Limelight Magazine Music Awards, a New England based music publication based upon fan votes. Amy is a certified personal trainer as well as co-manager of her family's specialty deli and meat shop in Dennis where she resides with her family and zoo of 4 legged friends.

Johnny Pimental
 Bass Guitar/ Backup Vocals

Born and raised on Cape Cod, John has been musical since the age of 7 when he started on trumpet, trombone and piano. Thankfully, he picked up a bass guitar at 14 and has been in love with all things bass since. John graduated from the Arts Institute of New England with a degree in Audio Engineering and played in various punk rock and metal groups during his time in Boston. Most notably he released several records of original material with the death metal groups Cirque de Carne and Stiff. His biggest musical inspirations are bass guitar greats Les Claypool and Justin Chancellor. John enjoys collecting vinyl and experiencing music of all types "how it should be listened to". When he's not jammin out Johnny can be found at his specialty deli and meat shop in Dennis or being lovingly referred to as "Mr. Amy Marie".

Keith Sroczenski
Lead Guitar / Vocals

Nobody plays the guitar, or has more fun doing it, like Keith. He has played in too many bands to count across the Cape and South Shore and has been a musical force in the area for over 30 years. Notably, Keith was involved in the inception of the incredibly popular and community boosting annual fundraising event which always features plenty of live music, "Homeless for the Holidays" which helps families on Cape Cod every year with toys and donations to make their holidays brighter.

Keith and his beautiful wife Lula reside in Marstons Mills with their incredible kids and are living the dream everyday.

Janie MacAuslan
Percussion / Vocals

From a very young age, Janie knew she had to make music, and as a way to rebel against parents who wanted her to take piano lessons, she began hitting the drum set. Influenced by such jazz greats as Buddy Rich and Gene Krupa, rock legend Keith Moon, as well as her own uncle, Janie made it a point during her education to become as multifaceted as possible with technique and style as well as dedicated to learning classical music theory.  Janie began playing out with groups in the early 80’s and has performed with too many to name. She has been featured in many articles spotlighting female drummers and has played venues all over New England. As well as being a founding member of Just Like That, Janie was the founding member of Green Dame and the Chickz, an entirely female rock group. Janie lives with her family in Wareham and is a proud "Jamma Gramma" to her three grandbabies.

Stephen "Smitty" Smith
Rhythm Guitar/ Vocals

The newest member of Just Like That, Stephen grew up in Toronto, Ontario then attended college in Florida and stayed for 18 years (graduate school and then working on Florida Everglades restoration) before coming to work for the Cape Cod National Seashore in 2002 and joining JLT in 2023.
Smitty self taught to play guitar a bit in the 90s but put it down for a long time to make time for
marriage, kids, career, etc., but picked it back up 4 years ago and fell in love with it again. His guitar heroes are Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eddie Van Halen, Jimmy Page, Alex Lifeson and his musical tastes/influences span all genres but  his heart is for the blues, anything 80s, and of course a ton of Canadian music.
Smitty is happily married to a gal from the same high school in Canada and they perform together as their trio "Northern Lights" around the Mid Cape area as well as their hometown of Harwich.  He is also proud Dad to  three awesome kids. If Smitty doesn't have a guitar or some kind of little sea creature in his hands, you can bet he's being dragged by a boat on a pair of skis somewhere.
